Church Life

Welcome to this page of the Whitehead Presbyterian Church website. If you don’t know much about us, please feel free to browse wherever you like; you may discover what we do and why we do it.

It is hoped that members of our church will find the website useful; there is a lot of information about our activities and about people who have various responsibilities and the photographs will help you to match faces to names. The links on the right-hand-side will help you to browse through the pages, and you will be sure to discover something new and maybe useful to you.

What we do on Sundays describes just that. You will find the times when we join with our fellow Christians to meet God in worship, to pray, to sing and to discover his love and purpose for us in the bible. You will also find the arrangements for young people to meet with those of the same age. There is something here for everyone.

In For the Young you will find a link to our youth organisations as well as external links to the Boys’ Brigade and Girlguiding. You will see that we have opportunities for young people of all ages to join in church activities appropriate to their stage in life.

Others will find in For Adults information about Presbyterian Women and the Bowling and Badminton Clubs. Also, details are available about the Friday lunches, where people meet for good food and chat, as well as the Home Groups, which meet for mutual support and bible study.

From time to time you may want to know how the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, or our own congregation, is organised. Some guidance on these matters and be found in Who does What. In particular. you can find out who the various leaders are and identify them from their photographs.
