What We Do on Sundays

Throughout the Christian Church Sunday is celebrated as a day which is different from the rest of the week. It is special day on which we meet together to worship God.

In Whitehead Presbyterian Church we meet together at various times on Sundays for worship and Christian teaching.

11.15 a.m. approx.: Bugs, Jigsaw and Connect meet. These are great activities for children and young people aged 4-14 years. They meet separately, but join with the whole church family for the first part of the Morning Service.

11.00 a.m. – 12.10 p.m.: Morning Service, after which we can meet together for refreshments and a chat. A crèche meets during the service.

7.00 – 8.00 p.m.: Evening Service. (Usually in the Minor Hall)

From September until June the evening service will be held at 4.00 p.m. once a month, normally on the first Sunday. This is particularly for those who find it difficult to sit through a full service, and it is intended to last about 30 minutes. Of course, everyone is still welcome to this shortened act of worship.

7.00 – 9.30 p.m.: Youth Fellowship – Going deeper with God, for young people aged 14+ years. Occasionally the Morning Service is an all-age service. Bugs, Jigsaw and Connect take part in the whole service.

Children’s Church replaces Bugs, Jigsaw and Connect during school holidays.
