What We Do on SundaysThroughout the Christian Church Sunday is celebrated as a day which is different from the rest of the week. It is special day on which we meet together to worship God. In Whitehead Presbyterian Church we meet together at various times on Sundays for worship and Christian teaching. 10.50 a.m. – 12.10 p.m.: Hizkidz, Godzone and Connect meet. These are great activities for children and young people aged 4-14 years. They meet separately, but join with the whole church family for the first part of the Morning Service. 11.00 a.m. – 12.10 p.m.: Morning Service, after which we can meet together for refreshments and a chat. A crèche meets during the service. 6.45 – 8.15 p.m.: Roughcutz, where young people aged 10-14 years have fun and games and learn about God. 7.00 – 8.00 p.m.: Evening Service. From September until June the evening service will be held at 4.00 p.m. once a month, normally on the first Sunday. This is particularly for those who find it difficult to sit through a full service, and it is intended to last about 30 minutes. Of course, everyone is still welcome to this shortened act of worship. 8.30 – 10.00 p.m.: Youth Fellowship – Going deeper with God, for young people aged 14+ years. Once a month, usually on the fourth Sunday, the Morning Service is an all-age service. Hizkidz, Godzone and Connect take part in the whole service. Children’s Church replaces Hizkidz, Godzone and Connect during school holidays. |
